      Investment AnalystThe Johns Hopkins University Office of Investment Management (OIM) seeks an investment analyst to assist the investment staff in the analysis and monitoring of the University?s portfolios and external investment managers. The $3.0 billion endowment has a diversified investment portfolio and is invested in a wide range of asset classes and strategies with a significant allocation to alternative investments, including private equity, venture capital, real assets, private real estate, and hedge funds. The endowment is managed by a small team of investment professionals who work collaboratively across asset classes. The team also manages an additional $1.0 billion in pension and other University assets.  Primary Duties and Responsibilities    - Support the investment staff in researching and evaluating existing and prospective investment managers through quantitative and qualitative analyses - Perform asset class/industry research and portfolio level analysis to assist in asset allocation and portfolio construction - Monitor portfolio, asset class, and manager performance and present appropriate analysis to the rest of the investment staff - Maintain and utilize management information tools and reports - Observe and evaluate current developments in the institutional investment and financial marketplace - Serve as a representative of the endowment throughout the University and the investment community  Note: 1-2 positions available. Qualifications:   - Bachelor?s degree required. Degree in Economics, Finance or related coursework preferred. - Two years of relevant work experience required. Additional graduate education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. JHU equivalency formula - 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. - Progress towards or interest in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred. - Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong understanding of investment concepts and financial markets - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with other investment software (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.) - Excellent oral and written communications skills with good presentation skills and ability to explain complex financial data - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a professional manner with outside investment professionals and various internal departments - Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Demonstrated desire and ability to perform in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment    Job Type: Full Time      Contact:       Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, MD  United States
