      Director of Diversity and EquityProgram Oversight Provide leadership in college level coordination and convening of diversity and equity efforts Provide support for the CEHD Diversity & Equity workgroup Create or provide relevant capacity building, technical assistance, evaluation and assessment, and resources for existing undergraduate and graduate programs supporting diverse student populations Assist with publicizing outcomes of these efforts in relevant contexts. Leverage university resources to assist departments and other college units with curricular and pedagogical development, including provision of technical assistance, training where necessary, resource provision, and connections to the Diversity & Equity workgroup. Collaborate with the Director of International Programs Recruitment and Retention Students, Faculty and Staff Develop and maintain contacts with students of color in collaboration with other recruitment and retention efforts. Assist the departments and centers in building graduate student populations of historically underserved populations Work with college and university recruitment efforts in developing relationships with pipeline institutions for student recruitment Develop tools to retain students, staff, and faculty of color in consultation with the Diversity & Equity workgroup and CEHD Human Resources Review and make recommendations for search committee processes to track recruitment efforts for faculty and staff in consultation with CEHD Human Resources Enhancing Multicultural Competency Coordinate professional development program for faculty, staff, and students, working with Associate Dean for Engagement, Diversity, and Undergraduate Studies and the Diversity & Equity workgroup. Represent CEHD and serve as liaison to UMN Office of Equity and Diversity in collaboration with the Associate Dean. Assist in developing relationships with external stakeholder populations of historically undeserved communities for CEHD in collaboration with the senior management team. Participate in relevant CEHD administrative meetings and gatherings. Serve as primary diversity and equity resource for CEHD  Required/Preferred Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Masters' degree in Education, human development or other related field. Demonstrated ability to generate trust with collegiate co-workers, institutional colleagues, and external stakeholders Proven experience in education, service, operations or business environment leading, and/or supervising unit activities. Minimum 3 years in developing and delivering effective diversity programming. Strong fiscal, analytical, problem solving, organizational, leadership, communication and computer skills. Demonstrated knowledge of scholarship focused on diversity and equity. Demonstrated ability in pedagogy, curriculum design, as it pertains to faculty and staff development. Big picture thinker. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in education, human development or other related field Scholarship focused on diversity and equity including research publications, grant applications, conference presentations, etc. Experience in diversity program development and implementation in higher education. Experience working with faculty, staff and students in collaborative environment. 4+ years experience in administration in a higher education setting Experience identifying the needs of diverse constituents and responding appropriately with prioritization and appropriate political support Demonstrated ability to develop and implement student of color retention activities High proficiency with various software applications that enhance management, communications and delivery of a wide variety of reporting, communications and program development needs.  Job Type: Full Time      Contact:       University of Minnesota Twin Cities Minneapolis, MN  United States
