Director of Regional OutreachThe University of Virginia's School of Continuing and Professional Studies is searching for applicants who will lead, contribute, and enable growth in our academic outreach to working professionals in the Northern Virginia area. Applicants for the Director of Regional Outreach must possess the ability to work effectively in teams, demonstrative initiative, embrace continuous learning and value the role that higher education can play in responding to market driven workplace needs. The successful candidate will reflect work experiences and interests that will strengthen and elevate the University of Virginia's commitment to serve the academic and professional training needs of working professionals and nontraditional adult learners in the Commonwealth, especially in the Northern Virginia Region. The position will report directly to the Dean, and will work closely with other outreach directors to establish and maintain professional networks with client organizations and entities e.g., business, government, and education. Master's degree required; Ed.D. or Ph. D. preferred. Some travel required, primarily day trips within the Commonwealth, but occasional overnight travel is required. Strong computer skills required.
