Project Fresh Air is seeking to hire an experienced Windows and web server administrator to be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operation of computer systems as part of a multi-year research study that deals with real-time monitoring of indoor air pollution. The ideal candidate should have experience administering Windows mobile and desktop computers, including the installation and configuration of custom computer programs, and the troubleshooting of serial and internet connections. The candidate should also have experience administering Unix- or Linux-based web servers, including some knowledge & facility with Perl, XML, PHP, MYSQL, Javascript, and the Drupal content management system (http://drupal.org) or another similar platform. The candidate must be available "on call" within 1 business day to repair malfunctioning systems. Essential Job Duties: 1. Maintain hardware and software computer systems 2. Be available within 1 business day to repair malfunctioning systems 3. Communicate with others to identify and remedy problems 4. Competency in the English language 5. Occasionally travel to work sites in the greater San Diego Area 6. Correspond via email and/or chat 7. Attend telephone and/or video conferences 8.
