Scientist � Microfluidics Responsibilities � Simulation and design microfluidic devices for cell based assay development � Design and prototype of microfluidic and electrical interface for cell detection system set-up � Characterization of cell enrichment, cell trapping and cell sorting and microfluidic devices � Collaborate with project team members and external partners to achieve device specifications and verify system performance � Project technical information and experimental data documentation and managements � Maintenance of project related specific equipments � Regular project report based on requirements � Generate novel intellectual properties and scientific publications � Guide and train junior staffs and students when necessary Requirements: � PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or other equivalent training or experience. � Extensive hands-on R & D experience in characterization of microfluidic device for cell based assay, diagnostic or drug discovery � Experience in using microfluidic simulation tools and interface design for microfluidic and electrical are strongly preferred � Experience in bioassays such as cell culture, purification, sorting or trapping assay is a plus � Good communication skills and team working ability and also an independent researcher in fast-paced environment Contact: Eisa Teoh Institute of Microelectronics (IME) 11 Science Park Road Singapore Science Park II Singapore, Singapore 117685 Singapore Phone: 65-67705351 Fax: 65-67731912 Email: personnelime.a-star.edu.sg
