Postdoctoral Fellow in Allergy Genetics The Division of Allergy and Immunology at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow. Marc Rothenberg's laboratory is focused on elucidating the mechanisms of allergic responses especially in mucosal tissues such as the lung and the gastrointestinal tract. The goal of the research is to identify novel pharmaceutical targets for the treatment of patients with eosinophilic diseases including eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, hypereosinophilic syndromes, asthma and food allergies. The laboratory has identified and biologically characterized several critical pathways that regulate allergic responses. These discoveries include eosinophil effector mechanisms and the chemokine eotaxin/CCR-3 pathway.  Details about project areas can be found at: http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/divisions/a/allergy-immunology/default/  The Division is a high-energy, dynamic, and interactive environment that is interested in recruiting self-motivated individuals with the drive to succeed and the desire to be competitive at the international level. Candidates with a strong background in human genetics, informatics, and/or genomics, and molecular biology are encouraged to apply.  Please apply for this position by submitting an on-line application for Requisition 51164 at: http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/careers/apply/default.htm. Please attach your CV and a description of your research and also include contact information for three references.    Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Institution. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.   Contact:      Cindy Bachurski, PhD Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation 3333 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229 United States Email: Send your resume/CV  Marc Rothenberg's laboratory is focused on elucidating the mechanisms of allergic responses especially in mucosal tissues such as the lung and the gastrointestinal tract.
