Network Engineer - Systems Engineer Contract to Hire opportunity for a Network Engineer - Systems Engineer in Pennsauken, NJ. GENERAL SUMMARY: The System Engineer is a strategic technical position within the organization. This position is responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of simple and complex IT projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Engineer and implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs * Design, implementation, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc. * Design, implementation, and support services for Cisco related technologies: Routing, Switching, WiFi, VOIP, etc. * Design, implementation, and support services for Virtualization related technologies: VMware, Hyper-V. * Design, implementation, and support services for Dell & HP related technologies: Servers & Storage etc. * Design, implementation and support of disaster recovery solutions * Design, implementation and support of Remote access solutions: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix * IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware * Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security * Serve as a technical escalation point in support of high risk, complex operational challenges o System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations o Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages o Establish customer standards that enable business improvements by implementing forward-looking, scalable technology solutions.
