Web Developer / UI Designer TITLE: Web Developer / UI Designer LOCATION: Folsom, CA Under the general direction of the Manager, acts as web content developer responsible for system configurations on thecorporate websites using SharePoint 2010. Maintains and enhances the layout and usability of the websites based on best practices, business objectives, and stakeholder information needs. Coordinates across the impacted business units to identify and manage potential project opportunities and boundaries. Understands customer and stakeholder information needs and issues, and works closely with customers, stakeholders and internal business units to identify, develop, and launch web-based solutions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: In close collaboration with content administrators, the graphics designer, management and IT, design and implement improvements to the corporate websites that continuously enhance web user experiences and content management processes based on business objectives, best practices, usability studies, metrics and user feedback. Develop strategies, manage and plan for configuration and/or custom development needs for the sites. Produce and implement web designs that are attractive to the target user, have a logical navigation system and have all the features required. Advocate usability best practices and independently seek innovative ways to incorporate new ideas into the user experience. Write web pages in a combination of codes, such as and X, CSS, Javascript, .Net, Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, and SharePoint Designer. Extensive use of SharePoint 2010 object model development including web part properties, timer jobs, event receivers, and sote object model. Responsible for system configurations on the website content management system, market participant portal, website analytics tool and Search application. Stay up to date in current and emerging web technologies, industry standards, developing trends, and web design best practices, and apply them to the corporate websites. Collaborate with graphic designer to digitally optimize and implement images and other material on the corporate websites. Design/program/develop creative interactive animated banners and other multimedia programs using -5, Flash or related web development programs. Create annotated wireframes, high-level use cases, scenarios, paper and interactive prototypes, storyboards, and design specifications for new web features. Test site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions and fixes errors. Support and adhere to corporate branding styles. Collaborates with colleagues to develop "best practices" policies and procedures, and to identify and resolve issues to help create a flexible and efficient organization. Adheres to and support the Core Values of the client. Performs related duties and activities as appropriate. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Level of Education A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training and experience. Discipline Computer Science or related field. Visual Communications with emphasis on web design/programming will also be considered. Amount of Experience Seven or more years related experience. Type of Experience Experience in project management and account management; managing complex, cross-departmental activities and efforts required. Knowledge in the areas of IT systems and terminology and development of business system requirements. Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath Forms and workflows including K2 Blackpearl Worflows. Extensive knowledge and experience creating and/or managing websites using , XML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, -5, Actionscripts, Adobe Creative Suite (CS3 required, CS4 a plus), SharePoint 2010, ASP/.Net, Powershell, IIS, and JQuery. Experience with Fast Search a plus.
