Linux Administrator Contract opportunity for a Linux Administrator in Princeton, NJ. Candidate must be available for Permanent Placement (US Citizen or Green Card) Candidate must be available for face to face interview. Job Description: This position perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Candidates willl be responsible for Linux Systems Administration including updates, patches, backups, SAN administration, etc. . Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Provide support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Upgrade and configure application software as directed. Maintain operational, configuration, and security procedures. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. Perform ongoing performance system and application tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. .
