POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS are available immediately at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), University of Toronto. Our current research mainly focuses on development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of neuropsychiatric diseases. This will be achieved through characterization of novel receptor-receptor (protein-protein) interactions that underlie disease pathology thus enabling development of interfering peptides/small organic molecules that target receptor-receptor interaction (Biol Psychiatry 67(3):246-54, 2010; Nature Med. 2010 Dec; 16 (12):1393-5). CAMH offers a unique and highly favorable environment to conduct multidisciplinary projects. The projects will involve multiple techniques ranging from receptor pharmacology, biochemistry and animal behavioral analysis.
