Postdoctoral Fellow in heart developmentA research fellow position is available in Dr. Katherine Yutzey’s laboratory in the Division of Molecular Cardiovascular Biology at Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation. The Yutzey lab investigates molecular mechanisms of heart development and disease with a focus on the valves and epicardial derivatives. Projects include studies of aortic valve disease and cardiac fibrosis using a combination of mouse, human, and avian systems. The emphasis is on defining regulatory hierarchies of cell signaling, transcription factors and target genes that contribute to cardiac development and disease progression with the long term goal of identifying therapeutic targets for cardiovascular disease.
