HRIS Talent Management Subject Matter Expert The HRIS Subject Matter Expert is responsible for providing functional/technical expertise for HRIS initiatives and functional support. This includes a general understanding of HR functions with a focus in Talent Management. This resource will be a core team member on the Talent Management project, one of the top initiatives in 2011 and 2012 for HR. Essential Accountabilities: • HRIS Subject Matter Expert for the global HRIS applications, performs functional configuration, modification and testing. • Overall understanding of HR areas, products and services. • Interfaces with functional unit process owners and users to identify, define and improve operational needs and objectives, current operational procedures, issues, input and output requirements. • Defines, documents and maintains Human Resources systems processes and transactions in support of business processes defined by functional unit process owners. • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes in partnership with process owners and management. • Performs functional configuration tasks for module specific Human Resources applications to satisfy requests from end users for fixes, changes, and enhancements. • Performs unit and integration testing, troubleshoots problems with module specific Human Resource systems after release strategy changes and/or upgrades and other functional configuration changes have been created, and makes changes in configurations to resolve errors. • Ensure HRIS guiding principles and objectives are always tied to the decision making process when issues are identified or enhancements are requested. • Ensure data is always accurate and up to date in the system. • Level 2 – Functional Support representative to aid in issue resolution and escalation. • Partner with IT on issue resolution outside Functional Support expertise. • Partner with functional resources on annual HR projects and transition project work to functional support. • HR Metrics and Analytics – · Create and distribute HR metrics and analytics, including HR dashboards and performance metrics. · Generate HR reports; engage IT as needed (depending on report complexity). · Proactively look at data and provide trends to HR areas or HR Generalists to present to business. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university desired. • 5+ years HRIS experience required. • 3+ years Talent Management functional/system experience. • Taleo product experience. • Leadership experience. Job Skills: • Fundamentals of business/systems analysis, functional configuration, and testing. • Understanding of tools and methods used in developing operational process specifications. • General understanding of program documentation. • Experience with full system development lifecycle to be followed in partnership with IT. • Excellent multi-tasking skills, including ability to participate on projects that cross organizational lines. • Self motivated and ability to work independently. • Strong knowledge of information technology and HR best practices as it relates to HRIS systems and HR data. • Strong analytical skills. • Excellent spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills. • Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operating units of the company. Communication Skills: • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying degrees of technical and functional knowledge.
